News from Andrew Cuomo.
NEW YORK, NY (July 28, 2006) – In the wake of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) announcement that it would be delaying the dredging of the Hudson River back to 2008, Andrew Cuomo made the following statement:
“Yesterday's decision by the EPA to allow yet another delay in the cleanup of toxic PCBs from the Hudson River is inexplicable and strikes a major blow to New Yorkers and the long overdue promise to restore one of our most precious natural resources. It is time for the Bush Administration to put an end to these stalling tactics and force this vital cleanup by GE to begin.”
