SHOULD BE IN JAIL: A former Yonkers mayoral aide pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of donated dollars that were supposed to pay for Thanksgiving dinners for the needy.
Lorraine Lopez ran the city’s 2011 Turkey Drive, which got about $5,600 in donations from a construction company called Yonkers Contracting Corporation Inc.
But when the company checked to see how the drive was going, city officials discovered Lopez had cashed the checks.
They also found no record that Lopez spent any of the dough on turkey and trimmings for the poor.

The New Rochelle resident, who never took the bar exam after getting a law degree, bought a shopping center, then a building across from City Hall, and became a favored developer of the mayor.

It's alleged that Joe Spiezio has been charged with a number of intentional unlawful acts, including violation of Wages And Hours Laws
He is alleged to be guilty of failing to pay overtime wages “for work in excess of 40 hours."
#JoeSpiezio appropriated, in cash, for his own benefit, 20 percent of the wages paid to all of the Latino manual laborers and carpenters on the false representation that it was for “taxes to be withheld for, and paid by, Defendants to federal, state and Yonkers tax authorities.”
