YONKERS GUARDIANS ASSOCIATION TO HOST 3RD AFRICAN AMERICAN RECRUITMENT OPEN FORUM AT NEPPERHAN CENTER TOMORROW SEPT 20 7PM

The Yonkers Police Department will be participating in a recruitment station at the 3rd open forum hosted by the Yonkers Guardians Association at the Nepperhan Community Center, Inc. on September 20th - stop by to speak to an officer or pick up an application! #YonkersPD joinYPD.com


From Yonkers Guardians Association president Sgt. Charles Walker: THE YONKERS GUARDIAN ASSOCIATION will be holding our FINAL open forum at the Nepperhan Community Center (342 Warburton Ave.) on Wednesday, September 20th at 7pm. The Forum will be for any African American Yonkers resident who may have thought about taking the upcoming Yonkers Police Exam, but for any number of reasons may be hesitant. Whether it's public perception, questions about the experiences of a Black Police Officer or concerns about personal issues that you may feel disqualify you. We'll have experienced Black Officers as well as newer ones there to answer questions about becoming an Officer and sharing our experiences. Applications will be available. Please spread the word throughout our communities. Bring someone that will benefit from this information. The first Forum had a good turn out and we want to increase it this time around. We look forward to seeing you there. EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE EXAM, ENCOURAGE SOMEONE WHO IS TO COME OUT!
