YONKERS - An event was held the Yonkers Public Library Thursday to discuss banned books during Banned Books Week.
Every year, the Office for Intellectual Freedom builds a list of challenged books from submissions by both librarians and teachers who fear that some books, including “The Kite Runner,” “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “13 Reasons Why” could face the threat of censorship.....
