IN DEPTH: Looking At The Phases Of Tom Roach's Failed Development In #WhitePlains

Mayor Roach, Let's Start Telling The Truth In White Plains.......

REVENUE NEEDED: Mayor Tom Roach's Big Development Plans Stall In White Plains Building Cranes Dot The Skylines Of #Yonkers, #NewRochelle And Even #MountVernon

TAXES GOING UP: Can Mayor Tom Roach Buy it Back? Developers Know The Mayor Has placed #WhitePlains Taxpayer's Between A Rock And A Hard Place

LOTS OF HOLES IN THE GROUND: Mayor Tom Roach Paved Paradise And Put Up Nothing

ROACH'S FAILURES: Several major development projects that have been approved by the Common Council have not broken ground.

WHAT A JOKE:  More cranes in the sky in Yonkers and New Rochelle than in WP the County seat!

FLIP FLOPPING ROACH: Mayor Tom Roach who campaigned that White Plains was one of the only cities not giving PILOT tax programs to developers is now singing a new tune.

LET'S MAKE A DEAL: Many of those developers are coming back to the City requesting tax breaks and Tom Roach is now desperately trying to accommodate them.

WHO APPROVED THIS CRAP: The largest project -The #Pavillion is now an unsightly hole in the ground and an eyesore to the entire downtown.

TAX BREAK NEEDED: Another project The Esplanade evicted over 100 seniors when they decided to convert to a luxury market rental. That building has been vacant for nearly two years and Mayor Tom Roach pushed for and got them granted a reduction in taxes.

ROACH'B BUSTED BUDGET: This is all very critical as White Plains is struggling to pay for basic services

UP IN FLAMES: The White Plains Fire Department is understaffed and a key fire station has been mothballed.

PAY YOUR FINES: The Mayor Tom Roach uses parking tickets to make up the gap in his revenue shortfall

LOST DEVELOPERS: The revenue from parking tickets continues to increase while our sales tax base shrinks and development stalls

ROACH'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS: White Plains was once a shopping mecca and now Mayor Tom Roach's downtown is full of dollar stores and vacancies while the city continues its BusinessUnfriendly attitude

ROACH'S PROMISES: Mayor Tom Roach Told White Plains Homeowners that these large scale development projects were to be the savior of the city and help pay the tax burden.

ROACH"S BUDGET ASSUMPTIONS: White Plains budget projections have been based on most of these projects coming online in the next few years as full taxpayers

If the PILOTS are granted the budget will be seriously in the red.

In the meantime Mayor Tom Roach and the White Plains #CommonCouncil continue to support the French American School regional campus in a bucolic residential neighborhood that will destroy that community and Not pay a nickel in tax dollars..... Just so their campaigns can be wined dined and pocket lined with FASNY cash.

LOL.... No wonder Mayor Tom Roach and the commom council want to silence the homeowners who show up for "citizens To Be Heard"

JOURNAL NEWS: Residents say city should broadcast 'Citizens to be Heard' segment

WHITE PLAINS - It's called "Citizens to be Heard," a half-hour set aside before each regular Common Council meeting for residents to address the council on any topic concerning the city.

To hear them, however, you have to be at City Hall.

While the council meetings are broadcast on the city's public access cable station and streamed on its website, the public's only formal chance to address White Plains public officials is not.

"It's ridiculous," said Carry Kyzivat, a community activist who has been pushing the city to broadcast Citizens to be Heard for almost two years. "People have a right to be heard, and the city should support that, but they just don't want to do it.".....
