YONKERS, NY — Nader Sayegh, candidate for the 90th Assembly District has received the endorsement of the New York State Women’s Equality Party. Following the official endorsement of the Yonkers Democratic Committee, the Women’s Equality Party is the second political party to endorse Mr. Sayegh’s candidacy.
“I am proud to receive the support of the Women’s Equality Party,” said Mr. Sayegh. “As the father of five wonderful daughters, I know just how important the fight for women’s rights is, and look forward to running a campaign that is pro-choice, pro-equal pay, and stands in solidarity with the Me Too movement. The Women’s Equality Party represents an essential part of the progressive democratic coalition that will propel Democrats to victory across the country in 2018, and I am honored to have their support.”
The Women’s Equality Party is another addition to a growing coalition of groups and individuals backing Mr. Sayegh’s candidacy, including the Yonkers Democratic Committee, Teamsters Local 456, the Yonkers Council of Administrators, and the entirety of the Yonkers State Legislative Delegation.
